When they were around 2 years old, Rohan and Ryan went through a phase where everytime they would finish dinner, or if they wanted to stop eating, they would simply fling their spoon on to the floor.
Done eating Mac N cheese... BANG...spoon tossed onto the floor
...mmmm....i'm done with those blueberries...(fling...kling klang)...the spoon is on the floor, blueberries and all...
Of course we were constantly but calmly correcting them...
"Don't throw your spoon down, your spoon stays in your tray" or
"if you are done, then keep the spoon on the side of the tray" or
"say all done, the spoon stays in the tray"
But it was extremely annoying of course. So this one time Rohan dropped the spoon for the 237th time, Fiona lost it and shouted"WHY DID YOU DROP THE SPOON? how many times do i have to tell you Rohan?WHO'S GOING TO PICK UP THE SPOON NOW!!!!"
To which Rohan , with his 'i'm mad face' nonchalantly and equally loudly shouted back
"DADDY, GET UP!!!"
