More Rhea nuggets

Rhea's comments and her speech is often a good reflection of what she learns at daycare and it gives us a lot of insight as to what really happens there.
So before going to bed, when she followed our good night kiss with a request "mommy, kiss me on my lips, right here on my lips", fiona was just a little concerned. How exactly did she learn that at day care ???
But her concerns were alleviated as soon as she kissed Rhea's lips, for Rhea quickly followed with a "Goodbye Honey".

Rhea was a little unhappy that she could not keep the ladybug she found on our porch.
But why can't I keep it mommy?
Because its dead.
Oh..ok good, so now he won't crawl away forever.

Heaven

Heaven is not an easy concept for kids to grasp, and even harder for parents to explain..But we try to make heaven sound as nice, and fun as we possibly can....
But that can lead to unfortunate situations when you have kiddos like Rhea who finds holes in all of your stories and theories...

You know what daddy? Molly found a dead bird at daycare...i think he fell from the tree...

Awwwwwwww...

But Ms.Jill took it and and put it in the trash.

Oh, ok....

So now the bird is in heaven ?

umm yes...

So when the trash truck comes, and picks the trash the bird will not be in the trash it will be in heaven????

Rhea, do you want some candy ??

Or you can have some unfortunate statements like..

Wow mommy, youre 31!!! its almost time to go to heaven!!!

Thats right, once you turn 30 it all goes downhill from there....

Kids in grocery stores...2

So we ave a new HEB which has cool three kiddo carts..
So now i can take Rohan, Ryan and Rhea all together in one cart.
Rohan and Ryan sit together side by side, while Rhea sits on the cart bench.
Ill post a picture of it soon..

So on our recent HEB trips Ryan hasn't pinched anyones a$$ in a while - see
Kids in grocery stores

But our trips are still interesting..
Fiona usually takes them to HEB , so when i take them they are constantly , and loudly shouting MA-MA, MA-MA.... MA-MA? in various tones and volumes....

So while i was picking fruit behind them, i was a little surprised to hear no one saying anything. Very quiet.,..oh well..continue to pick lychees...

When im done, i gp back to the cart and realize that rohan was chewing something and was making his "this reallly sucks" face...turns out that he had helped himself to a peach somehere along they way...and not liked it
So we bought ourselves 5lbs of lychees (for me), 16 bananas (for all the monkeys in our house) 6 mangoes, 6 apples, and (ahem)...1 peach.

While Ryan is not pinchin butts he's busy pointing to all of the samples along the way...especially in the bakery section...
He'll always point to the tortilla sample box and yell "eeeeeeeennnnnnhhhhhhhh" in increasing louder tones until all the people start looking at me with dissaproving looks..
So i have to offer him a couple of tortilla samples..(always two because he'll shove the first one in his mouth, and then start yeling for another one but he can't shove them both in..) before i am allowed to leave the bakery section.

And they don't even know about the sample cookies yet...

Do they communicate with each other?

The D Space
"Do they communicate with each other? "Asked our pediatrician.

If you consider, hair pulling, shirt pulling , horse-collar tackles and plain old hands to the face moves communication, then yes..they do communicate.

Perhaps the only disadvantage of being twins is that Rohan and Ryan have always been competing with each other..sometimes that used to make me sad, now i'm convinced they love doing it..

Its the evolution of battle.

Ryan was the first one to realize that you could pull hair. So when he wanted to get something from Rohan, he would pull his hair. And Rohan would start bawling.
Ryan walks away like nothing happenned.

So Rohan adapted. As soon as Ryan would approach him, he would give him the ol Hands to the Face move..Kinda like NFL running backs. Occasionally he would do that even when Ryan was simply passing by...Ryan walking by nonchalantly...Boom..Hands to the face..Ryan on floor..sitting wondering what happenned..
Rohan acts like nothing happenned.

Then Ryan realized that he could creep up behind Rohan , and then use his shirt to pull him down (horse-collar tackle, banned in the NFL). So if Rohan is sitting on the Dora chair, BAM and a few seconds later, Ryan is on the Dora chair, pondering about why Rohan is on the carpet bawling, with his hands and legs pointing to the sky.

Now Rohan has learnt that given all this tackling he is still stronger than Ryan. So instead of going after Ryan, he'll just go after his toys. What ends up happenning is that they'll both be pulling at the same toy. And now Rohan is definitely stronger.
They'll both be whining, but then Ryan's whine will slowly but surely deteriorate into a bawl, while rohan's whine, will transform into a quiet determined shout, almost like hes going "B-A-N-Z-A-I !!!"

Its not like we sit and watch them doing this, but they do this *All* day long.. so there are sometimes where we just let them have a go on it..especially if no one had the toy before hand. If one of them had the toy before the other, then they get to keep it no matter who won.

We've landed on the moon

The D Space

We rocketed up into space,
We've landed on the moon,
We've sent a probe to Mars,

And now

< drumroll >

Ryan's been hanging from the chandelier, after climbing on to the table.

Persistence. Its a very good quality of his. Rohan has been trying this forever, but I made the mistake of leaving the chair, not completely tucked under the table.

That's all Ryan needed. This happened almost a month ago. I remembered this today because i moved the chandelier up around 2 feet, not only becase of Rohan and Ryan's antics, but also because of Fiona. She keeps knocking her head on it.
